Amberis is the new trading style of Parker Colby Insurance Brokers Ltd.  

As a truly independent broker of ATE our key role is provide unique, solid, reliable and attractive ATE insurance facilities for Personal Injury practices. With no ties to specific Insurers we have the flexibility to build tailored schemes shaped around your needs and requirements and ensure it is underwritten by the most suitable Insurer. 

Our consultation and advice is effectively free for solicitors to use and as a result of over 14 years of stellar claims history, solciitors are guaranteed to achieve the best market rates and cover than going direct.


 Short History

Parker Colby Insurance brokers was formed by Martin Doyle and Phil Davies  after many years in the general Insurance, Credit and Lloyds broking markets. While working with one of the largest Legal Expense Underwriters they spotted the opportunity to develop an ATE service to help solicitor firms find the right solution for their businesses.

Having operated now for over 14 years, Martin and Phil have earned the trust of many leading ATE insurers. Based upon a proven history of quality and claims management they are seen as a vital part of the Insurers growth strategy. Consequently, the business have access to the market leading premiums and cover while remaining flexibility to form bespoke ATE structures.

The landscape of Personal Injury changed dramatically in 2013 as result of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (LASPO) and many believed with the introduction of Qualified One-way Cost Shifting (QOCS) ATE was no longer required.  It was soon realised however that QOCS failed to negate all the risk associated with pursuing an injury claim. 

Despite a turbulent period for industry, it provided the perfect platform for brokers and Insurers alike to refresh brands and re-define our service offering. Thus, Amberis was born in late 2014 to reflect our basic principles of providing unique, solid, reliable and attractive protection while bold imagery and colours to make our name a memorable one. 

Also in 2014,  as a show of commitment and intention to continue growing Amberis strengthened their team with the recruitment of Rory Wilson who joins the company as Business Development Manager. Rory joined after many years working for one of biggest Medical Reporting Organisations in the UK and led the re-branding project.

2015 saw the appointment of Beth Dearden as the company's Head of administration. After working with the company for 3 years in a support role, her ability to form strong customer relations and trust has been at the core of customer retention and satisfaction at the smooth running of their facilities.
